Development in Conferment of Group A Status to Sr.AOs:
After a Long Fight, exhausting all the avenues for conferment of Group A status to Sr.AOs of the IAAD, finally, It was decided by the National Executive of the Federation to explore the Legal avenue to challenge the decision of the Finance Ministry before the court of Law. The following chronological events are submitted before the Unit Secretaries and members of the affilaiated units of our Federation for further information:
Cabinet Decision which was decided in the year 1992 for not granting Group A status to Sr.AOs of IAAD was Challenged by the Federation after 20years on February 28th 2012 before Central Administrative Tribunal, Delhi
Arguments Over by November 30th 2012 before the Honourable Central Administrative Tribunal, Delhi
Honourable Central Administrative Tribunal, Delhi, directed the cabinet to consider Group A Status within 4 months on December 10th 2012.
Filed a writ petition by Challenging before the High Court of New Delhi since the Cabinet did not take any decision even till April 10th 2013.
1st   Hearing on April 26th 2013:  time sought by the Finance Ministry/Central Government
2nd Hearing on July 4th 2013:  the High Court gave an Interim Judgment directing the Finance Ministry to put up a Cabinet Note for considering Group A to Sr.AOs of IAAD and directing the CAG, DOPT, Finance Ministry to file a separate affidavit before Sept 10th 2013.
September 10th 2013: Hearing came up before the bench of the High Court, Delhi on September 10th. No Cabinet Decision has been taken by the Government regarding our Group A Status as intimated by the Government before the Court. Government Counsel pleaded for adjournment, whereas our counsel pleaded for not allowing further adjournment and insisting for arguments. Honorable Bench allowed for arguments and arguments by our side as well as Government side is over. Judgement reserved by the Court.
Now we will have to wait for the judgement which, it is hoped, would render justice to us.
